Aug 2005 : PhpCollab Usability Evaluation PhpCollab as a groupware for team members’ collaboration from separate locations should be ready to work for subject matter experts participating on common developments. How could current users determine who else could understand this tool? Could the interface be improved to make the application easier to use or understand?
Aug 2005 : PhpCollab Heuristic Evaluation This heuristic evaluation, after testing all the types of users available, takes into consideration the different permissions and observations. The open-source community of developers at PhpCollab, or other similar initiatives, may be interested in this evaluation.
Aug 2005 : Knowledge Management for HCI More important than the status or observable evolution of the Human Computer Interaction (HCI) theory, is the accumulation and useful preservation or management of our current HCI information, in what should become the knowledge base for the new generations of designers. Apart from proprietary tools encapsulated in specific organizations, it is still difficult to identify an open initiative, where its interface exemplifies the commitment of the HCI community. This document is to identify what could be considered an ideal Knowledge Management system [interface] for the HCI community.

Jan 2005 : Single Question Survey Tool See the PowerPoint Presentation of this Network Computer Users' Single Question non-intrusive Survey Tool.
Jan 2005 : Who is Reading? Mental Attitudes & Web Security To provide risks and cost analysis, risks have to be understood within a classification, which could be valued according to a specific point of view or attitude; we could be proactive or a reactive to risks, with a positive or a negative mental attitude; either way, it is important to document all the assumptions included, when considering the adoption of a security standard, and explore its possible vulnerabilities.
Jan 2005 : Database Development All steps for planning and producing a professional database, including diagrams and normalization steps.
Jun 2004 : Web Accessibility As more web sites are built every day, their owners and developers need to be aware of the risks of ignoring (or the cost of implementing) accessibility. Could we determine how costly is the implementation of accessibility? compared to how costly would be to ignore it?. This status report is intended to clarify the motivations that make certain organizations develop their web sites for accessibility, how far they have gone, and what is actually being done about it.
Jan 2004 : Web-based Decision Support model for Software Developers accountability Surfing the now frequent waves of technology changes, could be the most reliable way to stay afloat, providing more value to our customers, distancing from our competitors; but, how could we justify the time and effort required to do it?; to answer that question, this model is focused on the ethno-methodological view of accountability, which agrees with the phrase: decision-making speed can be increased with less vigilant information processing (Kennedy, 1992).
Dec 2003 : Networking with Dynamic Workflows This document is a quick research on why and how our recent and traditional schemas are evolving into Dynamic Workflows, while adjusting to new market demands and maintaining their conformity to standards.
Aug 2003 : Applying the Control Programming Standard IEC 61131-3 to Software Engineering Preparing periodic batches to run updates or get reports from mainframes, requires a good understanding of the requirements of each component, to avoid the cancellation of any batch process and its resulting lost of time and resources. To improve that understanding, an industrial Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) was set to simulate a batch process; the industrial components included in the existing tutorial, were used based on their functionality, as equivalent software components.
